President of Organizing Committee, Taipei Open 2013 Figure Skating Tournament

The tournament is organized following by the 2012 Asian Figure Skating Trophy, the Chinese Taipei Skating Union held Taipei Open 2013 Figure Skating Tournament, this time, we focus on Junior and Novice groups of skaters, the main purpose is hoping these Skating Star drive the intersection of skating Asian region in the future.

By the annual Chinese Taipei National Figure Skating Championship, this year will be competed in the 13th - 14th of August; Taipei Annex Arena will have 148 skaters from different age group to participate. Compared to few years ago, the competitors grew up close to 100%. ISU also authorized Chinese Taipei Skating Union held the ISU Junior Grand Prix, 2011 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championship, and 2014 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championship, brought the young people involved more intention of Figure Skating.

Recently, in order to improve the wonderful and excellent performance, particularly to upgrade the contestants higher score threshold, it is the new challenge for many countries to participate in the International Figure Skating Championships.

On August 15th -18th , the Taipei Open 2013 Figure Skating Tournament, we hope that the participants will learn from each competitors to increasing the experience of the  international competitions. Also learn more about the different customs in Taipei City, also have more pleasant memories of Taipei City.

2013臺北花式滑冰公開賽大會會長兼中華台北滑冰協會理事長

本次賽會是繼2012年本會主辦亞洲花式滑冰錦標賽，再一次舉辦臺北花式滑冰公開賽，而這次賽會我們重點在於青少年( Junior)及少年( Novice)組別的選手，主要希望這些明日之星，今後帶動花式滑冰運動在亞洲地區廣為往下紮根的風氣。

以本會所舉辦一年一度的全國花式滑冰錦標賽為例，將於8月13-14日在台北小巨蛋比賽，已有多達148位不同年齡級別的選手，踴躍報名參賽，比幾年前該賽會的參賽人數成長了將近100%。這情況，也跟國際滑冰總會(ISU)近年來，授權本會在台北承辦了ISU青年花式滑冰大獎賽，以及2011年四大洲花式滑冰錦標賽、2014年四大洲花式滑冰錦標賽，掀起了台灣青少年投入花式滑冰運動的熱潮風氣。

近年以來，國際滑冰總會ISU為了提高錦標賽競技的精彩度，特別提高了參賽選手技術分數較高的門檻，這對於許多國家花式滑冰選手參加國際錦標賽，有了新的挑戰與考驗。

經由8月15-18日的臺北花式滑冰公開賽，我們希望各國選手會們，都能相互切磋，增加參加國際賽的寶貴經驗。同時，也多了解台北不同的風土人情，並品嚐台灣美食文化，分別留下一段愉快難忘的回憶。
